AzAA Bylaws state that two (2) statewide meetings shall be held each year, in the fourth (Spring) and second (Fall) quarters of the fiscal year.
AzAA members will be notified via email when conference registration opens. Non-members should check back on the AzAA Website approximately 60 days prior to the conference for updates. Upcoming events are also included below.
Neilson A. Bertholf, known to everyone as "Dutch", has worked more than 50 years in the aviation industry.The Spring AzAA Conference was named after Dutch following his retirement from his final position, Director of the City Phoenix Aviation Department, overseeing Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, Deer Valley Airport and Goodyear Airport.
The Fall Conference is typically a one-day conference to maximize information sharing around the start of the new Federal fiscal year. The Fall Conference is titled the "Wally Burg" Annual Conference. Wally started his 36-year career with the Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) as a firefighter in 1966 while still in college and served as the Tucson Airport Director for 23 years, in addition to serving in several key local and national industry leadership positions.
