On June 2, 2010, AzAA President Casey Denny sent a letter to ADOT Director John Halikowski objecting to a pending $6.5 million fund transfer from the State Aviation Fund. While acknowledging the difficult postion ADOT and the rest of state government is in, President Denny reiterated AzAA's position that aviation funds should be reserved, as per Arizona state law, for aviation purposes.

Please joining us in congratulating Ms. Brenda Chastain , Director of Corporate Administration with the Kingman Airport Authority as AzAA's 2010 Airport Executive of the Year! In addition to her previous accomplishments with the Mohave County Airport Authority and subsequent creation of the Kingman Airport Authority, this past year Brenda coordinated the design and reconstruction of an 110,000 SY aircraft ramp with a $5.1 million ARRA grant, and the design and construction of FAR Part 139 signage upgrades. In addition, she oversaw the design of an $8.5 million passenger terminal, which will be connected to one of her previous projects, a $2.5 million ARFF & Airport Administration facility. Nice job Brenda. We are very proud of you and your contribution to aviation in the State!
